The unsung heroes at the Solomon Telekom Company Limited working relentlessly to bring the eyes of the world on the Pacific Games 2023, that started from 19 November 2023 and hosted in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

The CEO of Solomon Telekom, Ms Christina Lasaqa said that Telekom had made a lot of preparations for the Games that included significant investment in upgrading the 4G LTE mobile technology in addition to the existing thirty 4G mobile towers in Honiara. Fiber and wireless access and connectivity was built into the Sports City and all venues of the Games including the Games villages. As the Presenting Sponsor for the Sol2023 Games, Ms Lasaqa said it was challenging but our enthusiastic Telekom Team worked hard to ensure we deliver the best quality communication services for the successful delivery of the Games.

She added that Telekom Television with its free-to-air terrestrial services together with its online streaming Application (TTV Now) was pivotal to support the National Broadcaster and host broadcaster, the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC) to broadcast nationwide the Pacific Games 2023.
